Superlative menu and wine selection Really liked the relaxed cafe feel , great food and attentive service.
We had a great evening of superb food in Good Things Cafe Sept 13th. Really enjoyed every morsel, the ambience, everything. A huge thanks to Carmel and her staff.
Have visited high season and end of season - all a success. The menu may be short, but it is far from short in content or surprise (seaweed has been known to make a guest appearance). The menu is more an 'advisory notice' than a list of choices, but it's not going to be limited by what you expect anyway,... More
Came for the one day fish / vegetarian cookery class. So many brilliant dishes and learnt so much. Perfect pace to the day and just the right combination of fish versus vegetarian dishes demonstrated. Would highly recommend and will return!
This was our second visit here and on both occasions the experience has been first class. The staff are both friendly and knowledgable and the food has been excellent . I had the fish soup which was one of the best I've ever had,and the puddings are both quirky and delicious. I'd like to come for dinner on our next... More

We recently visited here for lunch and were disappointed on a few fronts. The welcome was poor and the place had a "cold" almost detached atmosphere. The staff looked disinterested and were not very accommodating. It wasn't that warm a place to be. We had two young children with us and there was no chidlren's menu - we were offered... More
Carmel and her staff are just lovely and they put so much care in the food they make. It is one of our favorite places to spend an evening when we come to West Cork.
Loved everything about this place. Had prawns baked with lime that were heavenly. One of our diners had the lobster that he said was the best he had ever eaten. Twas a grand evening!
we had heard such good reports on the cafe, so we were really looking forward to eating there. The surroundings and the staff were excellent but as we were eating at 7pm we were surprised to find that two of the main courses had run out and one of the three or four that were left had to be ordered...
