Tourist attraction but still fun never the less. Sunday night features steel drum band music, food, and a great place to watch the sun set.
When visiting Antigua this is a must. Its a great lookout by day with breathtaking views of the harbor and parts of the Island and transforms to a restaurant by night with a live band. I'm not sure if the live band is every night but we were there on a Sunday night. I can't wait to go back to... More
Every sunday there is a sun downer party at the heights and you get to see a great sunset over english harbour. There is a steel band and BBQ and a regge band later on.
A lookout with stunning views out to sea and over English Harbour. Good liitle bar adjacent to the lookout point. Well wort the effort
Breathtaking view! The band was great! The vendors were cheesy and the food was delicious but grossly over priced. Drinks were reasonable. This was a great party after a great dinner and beautiful view. A must visit when going to Antigua!
The positive: the view was fantastic! 2. The music was also great. The negative: the round trip taxi from jolly Harbour was $100 for four. (Gas is the same for one or four so this seemed high.) 2. $8 pp US for entry. This fare included nothing. 3. Far too many people for the space provided. Literally squeezing between people... More
But it was one of the best Dark and Stormy's ever. They make their own ginger beer that completely changes the usual components of the drink. A beautiful stop to take in the scenery. Can't speak for the food as we chose to avoid the crowds for the Sunday night BBQ. But make sure you have a drink at the... More
If you go to Shirley's Heights on a Sunday for the sunset, you will NEVER forget it. Simply a great and memorable experience. Try the jerk chicken and ribs -mmmm.
You can't miss Shirley Heights when you come to Antigua, particularly the Sunday evening Band and BBQ party! Watch the Green Flash as the sun disappears beneath the sea. The Food is fun Caribbean, the music great, and the rum punch just keeps coming - simply a must for fun, views and ambience!
We spent a few minutes taking in the stunning views at Shirley Heights. It was worth the trip for the views. We did not stay long. We popped into the restaurant for a drink and headed out. It was empty when we were there. Definitely worth a look if you happen to be in that neck of the woods!
