Really enjoyed the evening here. Basic menu including burgers and chicken wings with fries which makes a welcome change to the fine dining offered by other places close by. Excellent/strong cocktails. I can't get enough of the pineapple Mojito. Some reviews say the portions are small, but we didn't find this. I had the burger with fries after a shrimp... More

We recently dined at Scarlet's on our first night in Barbados. This restaurant is located in a former chattel house on Payne's bay. We ate at the bar, as every table was booked in this popular spot. It was fun watching the bartenders do their thing and they put their heart and soul into every drink. no pre made bar... More

We ate at Scarlets in may 2012. This was our second visit to the restaurant and we enjoyed a great meal. The menu has something different to the usual Barbados eateries, offering a number of asian inspired starters, and some classic mains, such as "baxter road" chicken, and some excellent burgers, noodle dishes and the mainstay of all barbados menus,... We ate here recently as a family of 5. Great choice of food and drink to suit us all. Very good service and tasty food, from the burgers (for the kids) to the locally sourced fish. The restaurant was full which made for a great atmosphere. Vibrant, modern decor helped too.

loved the interior - no windows and red! Popular for eating and drinking. Good cocktail list. Simple food, well presented and delicious. Don't miss it but you'll have to pre book as it's always busy.

We ate here our first night and loved it. We ended up eating at the bar, as it was Saturday night and the place was fully booked. The cocktails here are the best in Barbados and the bartenders put on quite a show. All the drinks here are made from scratch and that, of course, is why they are so... More

We ate here early and without a booking. Dont be out off by the outside and the red paint as inside it is very nice and modern with a wine bar feel. The service was fantastic and the waiter helped us a lot with our baby daughter. We had prawn toast for starter and then my wife had a burger... More

If you were just walking past Scarlet and hadn't had it recommended to you I'm not sure you'd ever actually go in, but go in you must! It's got a great vibe, relaxed on the dress code (men in shorts and flip flops allowed - hurrah!) and the food is pretty good too. It's not a hugely extensive menu, but... More

4 of us turned up without booking and after initially being told that they were fully booked, the helpful waiting staff managed to sit us at the bar. We proceeded to sample a number of the cocktails and a selection of items from the food menu. all the cocktails were excellent, whilst the food was of a similar standard. I'd... More

The main choice for choosing this restaurant was that it is only one of a handful that offers air-conditioning on the island. The food was great and they provide a good selection of alcoholic and soft drinks (including punches). Prices were reasonable considering the quality of the food.
