Sunshine and her husband are great hosts. Food is very good. We had the catch of the day one time and the pizza the second time. Since they are only open Friday through Sunday, you must plan accordingly to fit it in along wih Landhuis Misje.

We ate there 2 nights during our stay. Both meals were excellent. Sunshine is the light of the restaurant and her husband David does the cooking at night. I think Sunshine is the baker. During dinner you have a beautiful view of the ocean. As in all restaurants bring bud spray.

We stayed near Willemstad, but made the drive to Westpunt. This restaurant is in a house, but very charming and a unique experience. The owners are American and friendly. They make most of their food there...it wasn't the best meal we had, but it was good and worth the trip!

It was kind of nice to be able to get some pizza for lunch. It was pretty good and made to order. We had the Tuna steak for dinner and that was pretty good. Can't compare it to a place in the states, as it's an American couple leasing out the place and hiring local help to cook and serve.... More

The food in Westpunt has generally good quality, but tonight we were amazed by our first visit to Sol Food. The friendly owners offer a variety of dishes including pizza, barbecue, salads and desserts. Sol Food is a charming little restaurant run by a couple from the States. They are very friendly and Sunshine herself spent some time chatting with us about Curacao, which I really enjoyed. Sunshine (one of the owners) was just wonderful while we first visited Sol Food last weekend. We tried the spicy chicken and her wild rice/raisin and sweet potato salad. Our favorite place in Westpunt. We went twice for seafood and pizza. Both were great, no complaints. Sunshine and her husband are just wonderful. They also advised us on what's interesting in the area, provided us with a map and a several page long info sheet about the island, its customs and its people. Such a nice touch.
