the food is very good but there is no meat, the worst part of the meal is that the fish is not fresh it has been frozen either by the seller or the restaurant previously so it changes completely the taste of it, the other plates were very good. Service was excellent and the locale is beautiful.

I think Verde Mesa is playing on the fact it's about the only high-end restaurant in Old San Juan. It's decorated nicely and the food is fine (fresh and tasty although not authentic Puerto Rican I wouldn't say) but it's expensive for what it is.
