I thought this was ok as far as the food went. It's right on the water so that is nice. I was a little underwhelmed but if you are craving Indian food it's worth checking out.

Lal’s is not my favorite Indian restaurant in SXM, it’s my favorite Indian restaurant ANYWHERE! Year in, year out we have experienced only fantastic food. The goat curry is to die as is the Tandoori Chicken. I had a Mahi Mahi in curry sauce and couldn’t believe how good it was. I thought for sure the fish would be lost...

We were amused by their sign that had a cartoon of a chicken with its butt on fire, "Curry in a Hurry!" - - and it was so convenient to get to, that we had to go. The owner was fun, and loves classic rock and roll. So we sat on the waterfront, enjoyed curry, veggies, garlic naan, YUM!
This was the biggest surprise of the whole trip. Small place crampet between the supermarket wall and the dock.
It does not look much, but the service was second to none, and so was the food.
If you need to wait for a table, it is well worth it.
Make shure to have an apetizer, they are amazing, and the...

Food was great and the price was very affordable. Also parking was the easiest in Simpson Bay. It shared a large parking lot with several other businesses. The sign says Curry in a Hurry, however that was not the case. The food was cooked fresh, however it did take some time.
It is time to write a review. This place has been my regular Indian restaurant for the last 12 years. First situated close to the airport (Lal,I still miss the bar!!!) and now on the lagoon. The location changed but not the food and drinks. The food is excellent, my favorite is chicken korma and my wife's is spinach chicken....

Lals was simple, tasty Indian food, friendly owner. Good value for money. Made a nice change from the numerous American 'Ribs and Grill' type diners (not restaurants they don't justify that title). Reasonable priced wine for a change. Only minus is the location behind the supermarket, and the high tables and bar stools not comfortable for a relaxing meal.
After our near death experience at "the place we dare not name" we found our Utopia at Lal's. Excellent Samosas and even better Chicken Vindaloo. Exquisite Mutton Biryani and a host who if he has children keeps them at home. Lal is a delight. His food is superb and the ambience is fantastic. We are going back again before we...

We met Lal at his restaurant based on a friends recommendation. The food was exceptional and we ate there several times. The atmosphere is casual, outdoor and perfect for our island vacation. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The prices were very reasonable, too! Thanks Lal!
Lal's Indian Cuisine is supposed to be called "Curry in a hurry" however if hurrying means waiting a full hour for 2 people, yes, it was a hurry. I felt as I had been waiting a week and a half. The food was nice, but definitely not worth it. Quite disappointing.
