Description: Situated on the edge of the Rainforest Bananas is casual fun dining in a magical setting. We take our food very seriously but it is good home cooking prepared by hard working local ladies, not fancy or Gourmet.. However our menu is very creative and we use only fresh ingredients and where possible free range organic produce and meats. We have Magnificent Sunset views from our Firefly lounge and a superb selection of cocktails and old rums and a small selection of cuban Cigars.

We ate at Banana's tonight with our 3 kids 8-12. Loved the atmosphere and the decor. Loved that someone was at the beginning with a flashlight taking us up and back down to our taxi. The food was fantastic the mussels (asian style) were to die for. The flavor amazing and the size great! Our kids had the skirt steak... More

My wife and I dined there tonight. From the very beginning, the long drive up the very isolated (and poorly paved) road adds a bit of mystique to the place. But once we got there and saw how beautiful the place was, from the lighted path walkway entrance to the gorgeous landscape all around to the beautiful decor throughout, we... More

Bananas was my favorite meal of our six-day trip in Nevis and St. Kitts. The atmosphere is AMAZING. It's a colorful cottage halfway up Mount Nevis so you have a beautiful view of the ocean from the upstairs patio. The entire place is open so you feel like you're eating a wonderful meal in the jungle, but we didn't have... More

We had dinner at Bananas one evening and it was definitely one of the many highlights of our trip to Nevis. The service was great, the atmosphere was incredible, and the food was amazing! Upon arrival it was a bit chilly, and one of the owners brought all of the ladies in our group shawls... it just got better from... More

Thoroughly enjoyed this romantic hideaway. We were greeted immediately with a smile, and had a beautiful table nestled in the corner. From the meze appetizer (which I'd recommend to anyone) to the red snapper and succulent desserts, our food never failed to tintilate our palates. The only thing we would say needs some improvement would be the service... Beyond being... More

Thank you so much for taking the time to write this review.....I was extremely concerned by your constructive comments concerning the service..or rather lack of..I can assure you that as the owner it is not who dictates how many staff are on duty ...rather it is my staff who decide themselves...this may sound odd...but as an owner who spends most... We loved every bit of our dinner here. We arrived early and watched the sunset from their rooftop deck. For our appetizer, we ordered a platter featuring a sample of Nevisian cuisine and ate every bit of it. The goat water was fantastic. We ordered lobster for our mains and it was the best we had during our entire trip.... More

My wife and I had dinner here last night and it was truly amazing. Be patient on the drive as you seem to be headed to the middle of nowhere however, nothing is too far on the island of Nevis. We pulled into the parking lot and someone was there to meet us and walk us to the front where... More

Take a cab ride up the mountain to what feels like "the middle of nowhere." We decided to take a chance and eat outside our resort one evening. We were pleasantly surprised at this find. A beautiful view of the sunset, delicious and fresh food, and very friendly staff. Bananas was a charming, fun, and memorable destination!

Our family of 4 recently visited Nevis and were told by local residents to make sure to visit Bananas. The garden is lovely in the evening with soft white lights and a lovely little art gallery. We were greeted by a sweet little puppy, named Jodie, who entertained my kids (and the other kids as well). The food was amazing... More

Really nice atmosphere but the food and service was just ok. Long cab ride (expensive) to get to Bananas. We ate on the porch which was very nice. The table was ready but the food was very slow in coming out. It was good, but certainly not memorable.

I am really sorry that you did not have a memorable evening...especially as far as the service is concerned as that is what we pride our selves on...so we definately slipped up there...and i apologise for that. As far as the food is concerned..we advertise ourselves as serving honest home cooking prepared by local ladies in our kitchen . It... More
