Veni Mange is my favorite restaurant in Port of Spain. They spend their effort on good regional food and friendly service. Indeed the owner/manager seems to be in business as much to socialize with her good friends (which seems to be anyone she's known for more than about five minutes) as to make money. The decor could be described as... More

LOVE VENI MANGE....great food starts with fresh ingredients, and you taste the quality of food at veni mange...and then there is the ambience...local art adorns the wall, some of which are for sale...and the manageress is one of the nicest most affable people you will ever meet....i would go there just for the service and ambience... overall, highly recommended.

We both had the Cullalloo soup to start and it was a very nice spinach style soup. Our mains weren't so great - Beef Stew and Creole Pork but they did come with very tasty sides. Would have the fish if I ever went back, it looked very nice.

We had a delicious meal here, with huge portions, good rum punch and some of the friendliest service we experienced in Trinidad. Another customer's chair broke part way through the meal, though, so perhaps take care in sitting down. She seemed unharmed though, and it's a really nice space with some interesting art work, so don't let that put you... More

We just ate here in early March - it is NOT closed. When I mentioned a recent TA review to the owner that said the restaurant was closed, she suggested that perhaps that poster arrived one evening before the doors opened - just like us. She seemed to genuinely feel bad that the poster was inconvenienced and missed a meal... More

Our first time in POS, our BnB owner recommended this and Peche Patisserie, we tried both. Apparently NY Times also noted it, so it seemed like a go. It's one of 'the' dining spots in the area. Creole stew and oxtail were intensely flavoured and well portioned, however shrimp entree was disappointingly overcooked and chewy. No one should be overcooking... More

We were in Trinidad over the Carnival weekend and anticipating potential dining issues I used tripadvisor to contact Veni Mange by email. I exchanged several emails with Rosemary Hezakiah and arranged for reservations for Friday evening. When we arrived at the restaurant at the agreed upon hour we found that it was closed. No notice no nothing. Fortunately we did... More

Located on "the Avenue" or as locals call it, the "Hip Strip", this small restaurant has some of the best meals I've tasted anywhere. I've visited multiple times and their quality is consistently good, service is always top notch and prices are affordable - an unusual combination from my experience in the area.

Veni Mange is a really nice restaurant on the Avenue in Trinidad. It's a really beautiful atmosphere that I feel captures the Trini culture. The owner is very welcoming and the food very tasty. Its a bit pricey but worth a visit.

Nice setting, feel like sitting in a galery, with local art on walls. Open windows all around make it feel very relaxed. Kind staff, welcoming to our little one, too. Kids chairs there. Food decent. Service very good. Great Coconut bake. Definetly worth a visit!
