Stayed two nights at the Makena Resort and was pleasantly surprised at the dining options. Although offered at resort prices, the menu/buffets are reasonable when compared to other restaurants in the Wailea resort area. Will be sure to return!

Just finished the most fabulous brunch at Molokini Bar &Grill at Makena Beach and Golf Resort on Maui.
The food was excellent. What an incredible variety seafood, sushi, and their own island favorites.
Best of all was the service. We all know that makes or breaks a dining experience. Incredibly nice people that made us feel welcome and never a...

We were staying at the resort and made reservations to eat here one night. We were able to get a window table and watched the sunset thru the open windows which let in a nice breeze.
Excellent drink choices for happy hour and the bread. OMG. the bread. came out so warm and delicious I wanted to eat the whole...

Okay variety of food at the buffet - nice sunset location. Not too happy with the prime rib and the various fish entrees were nothing special. Too much breading and sauce that didn't seem to fit with the fish. Not our favorite meal.
We were at Makena Beach Resort for 7 nights in April and had dinner several times at the Molokini Bar & Grille. All meals were amazing but you truly must go to the Lobster Fest on Tues. or Thursday. I am not sure but I believe that it really was more 'Surf & Turf' as including the 4 oz lobster...

Food is ok, not worth the price tag though. Server was telling us about the specials and said "if that is too much for you, there is the menu". The service did improve from that point but first impressions stick, and so can this restaurant, stick it that is!
Had the surf and turf special($39). Food was beautiful and cooked perfectly. Entree portions somewhat small, but with salad and creme brulee' (included) was just fine. Service started out good, declined as restaurant got busy. Was told our son's lava cake dessert would take 15 minutes, it took 30. Good for a splurge. View of sunset was nice. Free valet...

We went for the Sunday Roast Beef Special, but my husband decided to try instead a caesar salad and the sweet rack of ribs with blue corn bread and beans, which he enjoyed immensely. We started with the Chef's Daily Poke, a large mound of deliciously marinated and...

The Sunday brunch was pretty awesome. Lots to choose from and it was all fresh and tasty. We dined there also and it was pretty good. I recommend checking them out.
Had to sit in the bar side for dinner, no reservations and the restaurant was very busy, lovely table at the window , although small table we managed with four of us. The food was very good , we went back the following evening ,,,but expensive ,nice selection of wine
