Having craved carbonara for the past 2weeks, we arrived here late one evening to finally fulfill this craving. The staff were friendly enough and the wine was drinkable. Unfortunately the spaghetti carbonara came out dry and tasteless. After eating less than half I gave up. I had looked forward to pasta in a creamy tasty sauce, instead I forced down... More

My boyfriend and I have lived in Ao Nang about 2 months and when we want great and affordable food and wine, we head to Alta Marea. Not to toot our own horns, but we're both pretty well-traveled people who eat out a lot. We appreciate good food, good service and we know it when we experience it. Alta Marea... More

After reading the reviews we decided that we have to try this restaurant. What a disappointment! My husband had a tomatoe mozzarella salad (on the menu it is written with real mozzarella). If an Italian writes real mozzarealla then I would expect the real one and not these thin kind of mozzarella cheese that you can buy which is definately... More

We were recommended this by another guest at the hotel sala talay. Our tuna salad starter was okay. However the ravioli main course was superb. As was the penne arriabatta. The home made Apple cake and Italian coffee rounded off the meal just lovely. The carafe of red wine was also excellent value. About 1200 baht (#24).

Went here after reading other reviews and we were also staying at the Sala Talay so a few minutes' walk away. Food and service were excellent, great atmosphere which is sadly lacking in many of Ao Nang's restaurants. Had seafood pasta and salami pizza, both of which were excellent. Yes, the chocolate dessert is a wee bit expensive (for Thailand)... More

It's nice to fill the difference in the quality of the ingredients that comes from Italy. I recommend the home made lazanya and pizza....

This restaurant was the dicovery of our trip. It is runed by a young Italian couple. Warm welcome and delicious food, pleasant atmosphere on the Nopathara beach. This restaurant is 100 m from Sala Talay resort where we stayed so they were kind enough to even make food delivery to our hotel. I highly reccomend their homemade pasta, pizza and... More

Great appy. Nice main. Friendly service. When asked if we wanted chocolate cake we asked if it was expensive as we are on a budget and were told if wasn't. Got the bill and one small piece of cake (yes it was good but not that good) was nearly double the price of one main. Very disappointing. Don't tell people... More
