I have been several times at La Querencia, I would really say that it is one of my best restaurants in Mexico. Everything in the menu is cooked to perfection in a very unique way.

It is a very nice restaurant, the service is great and the dishes are just delicious, try the taquitos and also ask for a good steak! Seafood is also great here! be prepared to expend around 35 bucks per person!

Ask for a degustation menu and taste really wonderful mexican food. And NEVER tate the chili habanero sauce without a cold drink on your hands.

we went from San Diego to have dinner in TJ after 2 excellent experiences at Mision 19 and La Diferencia. We decided to try La Querencia based on the reviews. We were extremely disappointed. The locale is dark and feels shabby. The food was salty and really had no taste (just like eating food north of the border but worse).... More

This restaurant has consistently high standards of food and service. While tacos may be a traditional Mexican fare, La Querencia's variety is amazing: duck, lamb, crab, mussels - just to name a few. Entrees are equally amazing.

While the decor (stuffed heads of deer and other game) is not for everyone, the food here was great. When we arrived, we were given some toasted croutons and a selection of salsas. While most at our table preferred the chipotle based salsa, if you like something a little spicier, the chile de arbol salsa was out of this world... More

My wife and I visit this restaurant about four times a year. All the "a las brasas" dishes are great especially the "callo" and "pulpo"dishes. We usually go here for dinner although I have had a few business lunches here. The food is usually served with different sauces including a very hot one (you can tell because it has an... More

To star off most of the reviews are way to old... with that said, la Querencia's chef is a person who is very much involved in the process of selecting his ingredients and designing different combinations, some of them eclectic if you will, he's always trying new stuff... He is also a very accomplished hunter/fisherman, be on the lookout for... More
