It is pretty inconsistent. They cooked up my husbands catch of Mahi Mahi and Marlin. It was exquisite. Sometimes there didn't seem to be any staff and the bar tender took over. They tried hard.

On the first night of our 7 day vacation in Mazatlan, we went to La Fonda restaurant, and knew immediately, this would be the place we ate most of our meals for the week. We started with a couple of margaritas (happy hour ALL day there, 2 for one), and you get free salsa and chips right away. True Mexican... More

My family (4 adults, 2 children) ate at La Fonda during our recent vacation to Mazatlan and really enjoyed it. The view is superb, the service is great, and we found the food to be top notch. The menu had a few 'less than traditional' Mexican dishes which came in handy for a 5 year old and not quite 3... More

This place was so fun to eat at...it was small, relaxing and a great view....best of all it right on the ocean and its basically a tree house so you can hear the waves. Awesome! believe me, you wont feel rushed here:) also the food was good.

Service was great, food above average. Would recommend to everyone looking for a beautiful view of the sunset and a well-served mexican meal.

Great margaritas!!! Food was good, for our party of 6 (4 adults and 2 children). Friendly wait staff, and very attentive. Venue was small ~10 tables total, but a grat view of the sea from the second story windows.

The food was rather simple fare but very fresh and spot on for the price. Views of the beach and ocean were specatular and the bar was excellent, best magarita's on the beach.

La Fonda did not cut it for breakfast. The location is fantastic but the food is only average. Screaming kids were a nuance and parents were just as bad. No toilet paper or paper towels in either bathroom. Owner told us he did not eat there. I understand why.

We ate here three times during our recent vacation. The table overlooks the beach and having the windows open next to the table was a real treat. The food was very good and the staff always very friendly. And beers are always two for one. What's not to like about that?!?!?

2nd floor overlook of beach, good food and drink! Small placed, but good food, service and drinks. Shrimp and fish are especially good. Was nice to be above the beach and watch all going on while eating and enjjoying the small place atmosphere!
