Have you been to China already? If you have, you compare every so called Chinese with the very colorful and very tasty Chinese kitchen you have experienced. This one, to my taste, comes close to what I have experienced there: wonderful spices, excellent choice of plates and first choices in quality of food. Also a very suitable restaurant for business... The number of good reviews led us to Hunan, as we really missed having good Chinese food in DF (having lived in Shanghai for 5 years before). With a name like Hunan - we expected at least some real spicy offerings, but were disappointed with toned-down, "sweetened up" version there - almost no different from the fast food Chinese on... I used to go in Houston to this restaurante, but the one in Mexico is even better. In the Lomas section, a nice upscale zone in Mexico City. Prices are hight but service and quality very good.

price is first class in an airplane, but quality is lower than economy class. as a taiwanese(chinese from Taiwan) , the food is not real chinese taste, only rich mexican go there, however, these persons don't know what real chinese food is. above all, the hot and sour soup is the most terrible, too much salty soy sauce inside.o although... Hunan's food is excellent and great service too. Been coming to the place for years and its always consistent. Price wise is on the high side but well worth it if you are looking for a really good place. The sesame chicken and the duck are musts!

One of the best alternatives in the city for chinese food. A bit pricey but worth it. Wide variety of dishes and everything we tasted was good.
