Delicious, fresh food, very authentic Mexican menu, yummy margaritas! Enjoyed a leisurely lunch with business friends. Desserts were excellent, too.

You will not be disappointed with their food. We caught local fish and they cooked it up for us. The staff could not be more helpful. They also have air conditioning. Prices are good and Sonny is such a welcoming manager. Eat, drink and be merry!
We always go to Herradero whenever we are in San Jose, always for dinner as it seems so festive and fun there in the evening with the twinkly lights. Our current favorite is the "Grandpa's bowl" and for us, the beef, though it is available with chicken or shrimp. The meat is soooo tender and has been cooked to submission...

Great margaritas, delicious molcajetes, out of this world arrachera flank steak, yum guacamole and salsa, wonderful homemade tortillas. Mexican coffee ended the meal with a show. Great atmosphere, fun wait staff, very enjoyable!
We spent a week in San Jose del Cabo in February of 2013. Of the seven days there we went to El Herradero's five times. Whether it be breakfast, lunch or dinner these folks are awesome! They are so friendly, helpful, fun and make anyone feel welcome, at home and like family. God bless them! If it is drink time...

Nice palapa restaurant just off the main street. Clean and friendly.
Palapa setting very good but could lose the TV IMHO.
Music sporatic. Comfortable chairs.

We were referred to this restaurant by one of the shop owners along the Main Street. The Molcajete was to die for! We got te shrimp one...SO yummy. Especially with the home made corn tortillas. If you're in downtown San Jose this is a must!!!
We went to this restaurant based on previous tripadvisor reviews and we weren't disappointed. Our waiter the first night was Angel, he was the best! We started with a round of margaritas, which were authentic tasting and appropriately strong. For appetizers both the ceviche and queso fundido were delicious. Then were were advised to try their specialty 'Stone Bowls'. We...

Good service and better food - get a hot stone dish and a margarita. Ruben and Juan were delightful and willing to share some local insight as well. Probably would have eaten there more than one if we had time! I definitely recommend.
Beer was cold ,margaritas very good and kids had frozen drinks. Service was excellent and the Sea bass special that night was one of the best meals of our entire trip. Teenage boys had fajitas and they loved them. Very relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommend.
