Cool, lively place with great food. I could live off the corn bits till my arteries exploded. Fact.

Don't come here if you are looking for a romantic dinner as everyone is welcomed by all waiters shouting out loud :-) but do come here if you look for a fantastic dinner!!!! Try the steamed beef! Amazing!!!!

The overall experience was great at Kingyo. We went for dinner on a Tuesday night, and had to wait to get a reservation. So make sure you plan to get seating and make an early reservation! The food was great, the service was friendly, and the experience was casual and fun. Kingyo is located right on Denman St in Vancouver,... More

This is high end Japanese cuisine at its finest..The sashimi, and croquettes are amazing. the paring of fine salts are such a nice touch and the sake selection is out of this world, sure beats anything we have in Seattle

Another one of my favourite restaurants in Vancouver. Good atmosphere and excellent fresh sushi.

Great food and attentive service. The place was busy even on a Wednesday but we managed to get a seat relatively quickly. Ordered the Kobe beef on a hot stone which was only 8 pieces but much more than I expected. Their take on tan tan noodles was great along with their chicken wings. Will definitely go back if I'm... Great spot on Denman. Intimate and funky. Let the chef surprise you and hold the soy sauce.

"GOOD GOOD GOOD", is what my husband said mid way through our meal. We walked the whole length of Denman and chose this restaurant after walking back and forth 3 the window 3 times. Everyone inside looked so happy. And so were we. Warm atmosphere, super friendly, and the food - outstanding. Fried corn with soy butter, tan tan noodles,... More

I could come here every day! The ambience is warm and inviting. You walk in the door and are greeted with a chorus of "irashimase!" (welcome) by the whole staff. The food is as delicious as is the artistic presentation. If you want to sample a bit of everything, go for the bento lunch which quickly sells out. I have... More

We ate here as visitors to Vancouver at the recommendation of our guest house. The food was fantastic, in particular the kobe beef cooked on a hot stone at your table. HIghly recommended
