After reading the reviews here, I booked a table for dinner while in Vancouver for a conference. I ate with a friend and we had a very good experience. We each selected a glass of wine from the extensive wine list-presented with the drink menu on an IPad. It was fun to explore the options and read about the wines... More

We had lunch at the Yew last Thursday. It was delicious! Even the " fish n' chips" my elderly father ordered was amazing. The fish was so tender and lightly battered. My prawns and scallop pasta was yummy. My husband liked the Halibut burger but would choose something else next time. The desserts topped it all. Brulee Duo and Lemon... More

We stayed at the Four Seasons Vancouver during our honeymoon and ate and drank at Yew several times. I hadn't really expected greatness but Yew delivered. The specialty cocktails were unique and well crafted (especially an off-menu cocktail that I can't remember the name of that's a bit like a Negroni, and the refreshing Bella Dama) and the bartenders were... We booked in for an early dinner after a Saturday afternoon theatre performance. I was looking forward to Yew, and really wanted to like it. I had staying in the Four Seasons Hotel just 2 weeks ago and was pretty taken with the place. Unfortunately, our evening was memorable in a couple less desirable areas. The room is bright and... Really nice place, very trendy. Food was great, fish perfectly cooked and beautifully served. I actually had fun even if I was alone. Reflects perfectly well Vancouver's multicultural population and ambiance. Drinks, lots of people, good noise, good food, a place to be. Service was exceptional, something not very usual in Canada, unfortunately. I most definitely recommend it.

We stayed at the 4 seasons and for convenience we went to Yew our first night. Great experience, friendly staff, good cuisine, nice wine. The second time was Sunday night. We had a reservation this time. They were late and did a great job on the service. Complementary food was brought to us. They have 50% off their wine list... More

I went for lunch with a friend to sample spot prawns. Unfortunately they weren't available on the lunch menu (note to self - check menu beforehand). However our server went the extra mile and checked if the kitchen could substitute one of the items on the menu. Success! spot prawns with kale = awesomeness. Nice touch is wine list on... More

Got this recommendation from the magazine in the hotel room, and boy, were they right! The food was really good. We ate in the bar, as we hadn't made a reservation ahead and it was Saturday night. The server was great, friendly, super helpful, steered us in the right direction as we wanted to try several things on the menu.... More
