Hadn't been here in years. Buffet menu pretty much as I remembered, pretty average and nothing special. Price HAS changed however. As an Indian food lover this place has become very mediocre. Probably our last time.

I love this place... I've been to every East Indian restaurant in the city, and this one has the best buffet selection! From the salads and tandoori chicken to the mango pudding, it's like a royal feast so prepare to come hungry. There was so much that we couldn't sample everything, but we sure wanted to! The service was great...

Staying at the Fort Garry Hotel, we wanted to eat dinner someplace nice and within walking distance even though it was snowing vigorously outside. We saw a large glossy ad for this family-owned restaurant in the "Where" magazine and thought we'd give it a try. The hotel staff were concerned about us walking there in the storm, and went to...

generally good value on the buffet but charging extra for the Nan bread is a bit of a rip off. The owners are a little pretentious.
Waited for a while in spite of a reservation, however, it was well worth it. The buffet had dozens of different dishes and most options were delicious and authentic. I had a lassi as well that was quite tasty. Decor is quite nice. Worth a visit!
I have recently reviewed a restaurant that is underserving of it's current listing as 18 in Winnipeg, how it got this rating I have no idea and it made me ponder . . . perhaps more people in Winnipeg need to write positive reviews about their great experiences. East India Co is the place to be if you want to...

My favourite East Indian restaurant! The lunch time buffet is amazing and plentiful! Better take the afternoon off cause you are going to be soooooooooooo full! Excellent service and the owners are usually there and are very friendly!
You can't go wrong with the buffet...great chance to experiment with something you might be reluctant to try. The salads are wonderful as is the fresh, yummy naan bread.
We ate at the place after it was recommended by the front desk agent at the holiday inn. The service was fine but the food was not good. A bland buffet that even at $20 was well overpriced. Would not eat here again!
Our most recent visit to this restaurant was a big disappointment. Stale pakhoras, mushy tomato salad that should have been tossed, and a couple of watery, very bland curries suggest declining quality control in a restaurant that used to be a good bet for nice and varied Indian food.
