I really liked this place when it first opened but they better get the service up the level of the food. This bistro style restaurant is located on Toronto's hot hot hot Ossington strip. With the great weather we decided to have dinner on the patio. We were given the run around reservation story of we are really busy could... More

Two couples dined. All were very pleased with their entrees and appetizers - the quality of the food was excellent. Ginger cake was delicious. Desserts baked in house by someone from the South, so the pecan pie was lovely. Fries for the table instead of bread a neat idea. Casual atmosphere. Highly recommend. We were from out of town and... I recommend sitting at the back bar in front of the kitchen. You can eat while the chef talks to you, which is cool cause he will sometime just offer you a taste of something's cool he's made. Awesome!

This restaurant is fun, has a great vibe, and the food and service are fantastic. Our server, Stephanie, who is divine, suggested great local wines, and as I am from out of town, I wouldn't have known which ones to choose. Our table had a variety of food, we shared the charcuterie platter ( a very generous serving for two... More

Food was very inventive. Service was good and waiter knew the menu very well. Started with the gnocchi, very good in a mushroom sauce. The cassoulet really was a dream comparable to some enjoyed in France. Don't go here if you want a quaint evening or date but great energy on Saturday night.

My boyfriend and I have been to Union for brunch a few times but never dinner. We went for dinner with two others on March 1 and had a fabulous meal. The service was amazing and the server was very friendly and helpful - he made some great suggestions! The menu constantly changes but some items frequent their menu. Two... More

The greeting was friendly and the atmosphere is a little loud but the food is just fantastic. A small menu with some eclectic choices but every item was tasty. The frites are unbelievable. Sticky ribs and scallops were both phenomenal dishes Duck and elk great. They concentrate on local foods and do an excellent job at it. The service is... More

Ate here last night for a casual business dinner, and was very impressed with every part of the meal. Friendly service, outstanding food and really good wine. Will definitely be here again.

My husband and I went here for the first time this weekend for our anniversary. We had a terrific bottle of sparkling wine from Hinterland (oh, it was so nice!) shared gnocchi and the union salad for appetizers, shared the ribs for dinner, and ordered chocolate cake and ginger cake for dessert. Each item was delicious. The gnocchi was a... More

I have had truly inspired meals here and then gone back with friends excited to introduce them to this place and eaten really disappointing, overpriced food. I have eaten her four times and it's an even split, but when you are putting out 160$ for a meal for 2 you don't want to risk it.
