It was the last night for a Groupon. I got there around 6 p.m. Sitting at the bar, I ordered a half-litre of the house red. The red wine ran out before my half-litre could be filled. It took about 15 minutes to get the incomplete half-litre. It took another 10 minutes to get a wine glass. I tried to... More

We were on the "North" pub crawl, and it sucked. Never saw more than a handful of people at each venue. The representatives just sat and talked with their friends @ the Victory. Maybe the "South" crawl was a better choice. We gave up after Smokeless Joes. husband and I thought we would try the new location last night. We... More

We found this place walking along College and saw a sign for 1/2 price Oyster Monday. As an added bonus, this restaurant has a patio in the back. The server was very firendly, and she was very knowlegeable about her menu. The beer menu is great- many different kinds of beer, so we had to sample a few. Loved the... More

The beers on tap are unlike the usual offerings from other bars in the neighborhood. I had my first hoppy Canadian IPA there. I had my first dark Canadian stout there. The menu is chock full of items I'd seen nowhere else. I downed a Pierogi and Roasted Red Pepper sandwich. The combination was great. It came with salad and... More

The original was down on Duncan & Adelaide, and was named so because it was one of the few at the time which didn't allow smoking. The proprietor was there almost every night and famous for wearing overalls. The new locale is in the trendy College St area and twice the size and, at least on the few occasions I've... More

During Little Italy festival of food and drink ,we needed a drink,my sister recognised the name of the bar from its previous location. So we went over to be met by a very friendly member of staff who chatted happily to us and talk about the different beers .It was a shame we had just eaten as the menu looked interesting... I was looking for Seafood for the last Friday night in March as it was Lent and I do love Mussels and found the reviews for Smokeless Joe's which all looked good so I opted to try since they specialize in Mussels, PLEASE be aware they are now on College St, I went to the old address looking for them.... This bar (now relocated to College St) is a beer destination. New, more elegant location has a bigger draft selection than their old location and more local beers than before. Friendly, knowledgable staff. One disappointment is that they brought the old menu along. Good mussels, but the rest is mediocre. Should have more in the sandwich/burger category, especially when everyone... More

They closed down their old location and moved to 488 college street. This place has the most amazing mussels anywhere. Their oysters fresh as ever and their house made hot sauces outstanding as always. I went there with some colleagues from work and we all had a variety of mussels. Speaking to the owner, he is really excited about being... More

The last time I was in Toronto which was in 200, I visited Smokeless Joes. The first time I had been there was in 1998. Needless to say I was pleasantly surprised when I found that it was still there. Although owned by a different Joe, it has redeemed the same qualities it had when Toronto was not smokeless and...
