The 4 of us were shown to a patio table (two tables actually) overlooking the street. It was a beautiful evening, the service was perfect, and the food was very good. A foie gras appetizer, salad, dessert and a glass of house red was all I needed for our first night in QC.

as the name would indicated, many of the dishes have rabbit in them and of the ones we tried, nothing disappointed. Their lunch menu, very reasonably priced, included a soup or salad, main course & coffee. Adding a small but tasty desert was only a couple bucks more & totally worth it. instead of tell you our preferences, order what... More

Had a lovely table outside, with heaters so we were cosy and protected in case of rain. Charming waiter who was very helpful in advising on pre dinner drinks and on our ultimate choice - the platter of assorted meats, cheese, bread and salad for two to share. We thoroughly enjoyed the variety of foods that we sampled and felt... More

We had only one evening to enjoy a dinner out in Quebec City so we checked TripAdvisor for a recommendation and struck pure gold! What an absolute gem! Now we are a bit on the adventurous side and drove in from Montreal and showed up without reservations, taking our chances on a Wednesday evening. Our good fortune they had a... More

First of all the atmosphere is outstanding. Small, intimate, Quebec charming. Secondly the service is superb and friendly. This is a great experience in a casual atmosphere. Great food but not at all pretentious. Decent wine list. Of course the menu is geared to rabbit but there are other options. We went for lunch and it was so enjoyable we... More

Service was excellent, friendly staff. A relaxed, cosy atmosphere but the food was top notch. Make reservations, it was busy. They have a terrace but it was raining. We had the charcuterie platter to share for our appetizer, mmmm! All four of us agreed it was the best restaurant we visited in Quebec City.

Ordered the filet mignon. Cooked perfectly. Husband ordered the fish special which he also loved. Great atmosphere, music played on the street outside the restaurant. The website was right about ambiance. We had wonderful service and a lovely evening. Eat on the patio if you can.

We had the big plate that you can share, so we got to taste pretty much every thing and it was amazing! Had the creme brûlé for dessert and was fully satisfied! Would recommend this place to everyone who wants good food, reasonably priced. + the athmosphere is perfect (small with charming music)

In Quebec City, lower town, do not miss Lapin Sauté. Sit on the terrace; often musicians are playing in the small park next door. The rabbit cassoulet with a duck sausage and white beans is wonderful. But, very important if you care about beer: try one of four beers from a microbrewery on the island of Orleans. A lovely Scotch... More

So far, the finest combination is service, ambience and food we've had in Quebec. Visited on a Wednesday night, place was mostly empty (shame!). Waiter was top shelf; polite, professional and attentive. Ordered the rabbit and duck for one, as well as onion soup and salad. According to my wife, the soup was good. According to me, the rabbit and... More
