Description: Carver’s is located on the main floor of the Sheraton Cavalier Saskatoon. The restaurant is small as it has 13 tables and seats up to 45 people. As a smaller restaurant, reservations are recommended. The dining room feels warm, modern and classic. Carver's is the kind of room where you can be comfortable with or without the tie. The Chef uses only the best ingredients. The featured beef is Canadian AAA Sterling Silver which is minimally aged 28 days. The menu offers classic steakhouse cuts and local dishes like Canadian Lamb,Steelhead Trout, and Free Range Chicken. The restaurant is known for having the best wine list in Saskatchewan. Our Sommelier's philosophy is that "wine is not meant to be complicated; it is meant to be enjoyed, as it is part of the experience". Carver's has an international wine list that features fun, interesting everyday wines to rare and well aged vintage wines. Carver's is authorized Riedel stemware outlet and features all the appropriate stemware.

We went to Carvers for dinner as it is rated very highly. The roast beef was tough and undercooked. The Yorkshire pudding was hard as a rock and cost extra. The vegetables cost extra. I would think for close to $40 per 6 oz serving, that you would expect more than a potato to accompany the meal. The wine we... More

My wife took me to Carver's for my birthday this year. After living in Saskatoon for 5 years, we decided it was about time, given some of the rave reviews we had heard. Overall, our experience wasn't a terrible one. The server was friendly, the atmosphere was nice and the table-side Caesar salad was fabulous (this is one place where... More

some ratings of Carvers have indicated poor service or quality, we were hesitant of going for our anniversary, HOWEVER! My wife has allergies and we rate restaurants on there ability to address her needs, there willingness to address them, and also the service and quality. First our waiter could tell us what she could have and not have - that's... More

I ate here in November 2012 and March 2013 with a group of people from work. I ordered the same both times...the steak with the morel mushroom sauce. However, I had morels in November but not in March! I used to pick morels with my Mom so I know what they are like. In March, it was all button mushrooms.... More

We went to Carvers to celebrate 4 events at once. Both our daughters university graduation, a belated birthday and our Mortgage burning. On the humorous side, we almost needed to renew our mortgage to pay the tab, the restaurant is expensive. Other than that, I must say the service was second to none, the food was fabulous, and the evening... More

You want to think you're about to enjoy a great meal when you walk into Carver's but we found the food did not quite meet our expectations. The room is lovely and the service quite good - even for our group of 12. But the prime rib was only average, and some portions seemed quite fatty, and others quite small.... More

I usually avoid in house hotel restaurants as they tend to be mediocre and overpriced. Carvers is anything but mediocre, but really excellent! I agonised about my choice as although the menu is deceptively concise, choices are difficult as it is all so good. I could have shotgunned the menu and still had an excellent meal. However, all said, I... More

I absolutely love dining at Carver's Steakhouse in the Sheraton Cavalier hotel in Saskatoon. A small intimate dining room, with fire place and exquisite service and food. The difference between eating and dining is apparent here; everything is sensorial, and the wine pairings excellent. Staff never fail to deliver on expectations, and go out of their way to ensure guests... More

Carver's has all things we like in fine dining and none of the things we don't like about other expensive restaurants in Saskatoon. We like a soft ambionce, quiet mellow music and excellent food and service in a cozy environment. If you like the high end, grill style, and very loud restaurants in the city, thenavoid Carver's.
