Though we didn't stay here, we had dinner twice and two boxed lunches for our daily explorations. Dinners were delicious and the owner very friendly. Excellent service as well. The boxed lunches were very good and generous, great sandwiches. Nothing to criticize really.

Food at hotel restaurant was very good to our choice. There was plenty of domestic dishes, wihch we preferred, as we always stick to local food, and we like Mexican cuisine. The Pickled Onion is a short ten minute drive from Uxmal and is definitely worth it. Nice outdoor dining room. Personal attention from Valerie, the British/Canadian owner. The food is excellent and uses only very fresh ingredients. Service is top notch. Prices are very reasonable. Highly recommended.

This was my second visit to the Pickled Onion with my daughter and grandids. we love staying in the round room and the pool was so refreshing after a long day traveling.Valerie spent time catching up and chatting with us all after dinner and breakfast.I hope to have a third visit.
