It was on our road-trip list of things to do, I agree with other reviewers, over-priced basic food. Nice coffee and generous meal sizes, but wouldn't go back.

We visited this weekend. The menu was vastly overpriced so we had a savoury and a fruit and nut slice with coffee. Which was perfectly adequate, but we would have preferred something more substantial, but at $25 for most items on the breakfast menu, we decided against it. The blonde waitress was aloof and asked my husband 3 times if...

I live in Oxford and a friend visiting from Melbourne wanted to try Jo's Cafe as we fondly call it. An experience not to be rerpeated. Slow service , which in a reaturant with only a few tables occupied on a Sunday morning , We ended up going to the bar again and ordering with no apology of why we...

Snobby service, average overpriced food. Go somewhere else in Oxford, there are much better options with better food and an understanding of service.
Food is pretty good as you would expect from The Name and from the price. Reality is that the food is not better than any good cafe. Not sure it was really worth thd trip to drive from Chch. The waitresses can care less. Slow the take orders. Don't care the table is dirty. Water is help yoursrlf type. You...

When ordering a lemon lime bitters to drink in a place with this name you wouldn't expect a horrible pre made one.
Our meals were OK but worth half of what they charged.
A man sat...

Great service by realy friendly staff. Meals were generous and so full of flavour and texture. Well worth the money and the atmosphere is spacious and plenty of space between tables. Super clean restrooms.Kichen shop next door is amazing too. Highly reccomend a drive out to Oxford .

There was no patrons in the cafe and that put us off, the prices were very high and there was no cabinet food so we went across the road. I am a great 'foodie' and the cookshop...

Looking forward to going out to seagars, but was very disappointed with the lack menu choices and how overpriced it bad became. Nice waitress (belinda). I think Jo Seagar, herself needs to step in and get it back to its former glory. Until then, we will not go back or recommend this place. "Under the oaks" just down the rd,...
