Having spent the morning sitting in the sun at a nature reserve Maggie and I decided to find somewhere for lunch. I had read reviews of the Rose Inn before so when our wandering led us to Wickambreaux we thought we'd give it a go. Wickambreaux is a very pretty village with Tudor houses and pretty gardens and its food... More

My husband had a lovely lunch on Thursday. This is a family run pub, very friendly, is was reasonably busy, I had the seabass and my husband had the scampi, which was served with a nice fresh salad and delicious chips. The sea bass was served with sauté vegetables, we would definitely go back. Thank you

I have just returned from a wonderful birthday lunch held for my dear dad. The food was freshly prepared, of great quality & perfectly presented. The warm welcome & fantastic service was 5 star! We all had such a happy few hours there we didnt want to come home. Thank you so much.

My husband and I were visiting my parents in Canterbury and they suggested The Rose for lunch. We're not easily impressed, but we thought that The Rose was delightful, service was attentive and quick at the bar, and our lunch was really good. The pub was very clean and well cared for, and there was ample room to move around.... More

Very pretty country pub lined with hops on the ceiling. Lovely atmosphere and family friendly. We all had a roast (beef & lamb) it was good but not the best that I have had in the region.

A very friendly, welcoming pub in a lovely village setting. Beautifully presented, tasty food at a very reasonable price. Will definitely return :-)

We went for a weekend in Canterbury and really enjoy going to pubs in the countryside, so I'd already looked into where we could go to eat on the Saturday night, and came across The Rose Inn. We arrived around half 7, it was really well lit and looked so quaint from the outside! We went straight in, it wasn't... More

Booked a table as had heard good reports of this place. Arrived at five to two to be told there would be a 15 minute wait. Place was heaving nowhere to stand or chat. Frankly an awful and uncork able experience half an hour elapsed still no table. Note surprisingly 40 mins in we gave up. Frankly I think it's... More

I'm not normally one for writing reviews but, I felt I had to share how lovely this little pub is. Warm and inviting atmosphere as soon as you walk through the door. The landlord and land lady were very friendly and welcoming. Two wood burning fires, just what me and my partner wanted on a winters day. We were only... More
