When we moved to Devonport about 5 years ago Asahi was always empty. You could go there whenever you wanted and there were maximum 2 tables occupied. That changed once they got a liquor licence and now that you can enjoy an ice cold beer or a bottle of wine (BYO possible) along with your delicious and authentic Japanese food... More

We saw this small restaurant along Clarence Street but had no idea just how popular it was.
