I wrote a review on this Bistro on June 14/12; nothing to change from those comments. Tapenade is one of our favourites and Vince and his great staff continue to not disappoint. I still maintain this is one of the most consistent restaurants in Steveston Village in terms of friendly, competent service and quality of food.

Description: In January 2003, Vince Morlet opened Tapenade Bistro with the idea of bringing an urban bistro to the historic fishing village of Steveston, BC. Over the past several years, Tapenade has earned the reputation of being an exceptional neighbourhood bistro with great food, outstanding service and fantastic wine. The menu is steeped in French tradition, though is updated with west coast sensibility and is presented in an approachable and informal setting. The "simple, yet elegant" cuisine showcases the natural beauty of local, sustainable and seasonal ingredients in an appropriate and sumptuous manner.
With a dedicated and passionate staff, critically-acclaimed food and a comfortable neighbourhood setting, the team at Tapenade Bistro looks forward to welcoming you.

We were seated promptly, at a lovely window. The interior decor is lovely inside in warmer weather there is an outside patio.
. The service is wonderful, Franck our server
adds vitality and knowledge to the whole dinning experience. He's refreshing and obviously loves his job.
A wonderful wine list, and of course what good is all this without food?...

Visited this restaurant with friends that live not too far from Steveston (the southwest part of Richmond, BC). Was in the mood for eggs benedict so the basic benedict on the menu caught my eye immediately, it tasted great and the presentation was very good. We found the service to be excellent and they took pride in how they served their food on your plates. The food was excellent. Note though it is expensive.

The presentation was great; my pickled beets on chickpea puree with sprouts and horseradish cream were yummy. The seared tuna was cooked just right; rare, although I've decided I'll ask for medium rare to get the center a bit more warm. My wife had the scallops for a main which were excellent. Weekend Brunch doesn't get much better than the Tapenade. For about the same price as you would spend at a chain restaurant having Eggs Benedict; you can have the most incredible ones here with linen napkins and exceptional service. For a treat don't miss the Mimosa's with breakfast. Another great dish : The frittatas.

We recently enjoyed a wonderful experience at Tapenade! Each season seems to bring out new ideas from the kitchen. Well-located near the Harbour in Steveston, this restaurant never disappoints and always pleases!

Hi, I have been living in Richmond for the past 14 years. I have been to Tapenade Bistro many times for business and also with friends or family. They're service is excellent, very attentive to every person's individual needs.
They can handle large groups during meetings and presentations without causing delay or disruption.
