Their food, service and atmosphere is great. Although it's a bit pricy, I think it's worth it. I will absolutely recommend to those of you who want to try Shang Hai food.

This restaurant is a staple with my family, as we often come here when we are in Richmond. This is due to the consistent high quality that is shown in their food, service and restaurant. It's located on the second floor of Aberdeen Mall above the marketplace. The decor is simple and elegant. The xiaolongbao (soup dumpling) are always fresh,...

Like their seafood noodle soup. Their chili hotsauce is different then most restaurants in Richmond. Can't really explain it but try it and you'll see. The portion is a good size, noodles are the hand stretched kind, and the seafood plentiful.
This restaurant was recommended to me by friend, and it was delicious. The restaurant was crowded, but we were seated quickly. The food comes beautifully displayed. Highly recommend the Duck Marinated in Red Rice Sauce and Beijing Style Shredded Pork (served with Chinese pancakes). Free refills on hot green tea. yum. Can't go wrong with this choice.
We had lobster cooked in 2 different ways and both were good. We were most impressed with the very fast service.
xiao long bao was amazing! The atmosphere here is really great. Seems to be well attended by locals, which is usually a good sign.
Went here on a Monday evening based on a recommendation of a friend who lives in Richmond. The restaurant was reasonably busy (always a good sign), full of locals (also good) and the food was spectacular. Wonton soup, Shanghai fried rice w/shrimp were the highlights, although I don't think you can go too far wrong with anything on the menu....

Authentic Pork Belly with Preserved Veg on Rice - better than my Mom's!! Loved the Siao Long Pao (the northern steamed dumplings with a mouthful of broth inside). Authentic Nanjing Salted Duck as an appertizer. Service was good with food coming fast & hot. The dim sum is not the usual cantonese style tho quite tasty. Prices are reasonable. Well...

This place has some of the best Ginger beef, Shuezuan Chicken and pork dumplings I have ever had! And I have had so many... They have alot of traditional stuff my western palate did not appreciate very much, but more the texture than taste. I did enjoy the dumplings, the sweet and sour pork, the fried rice etc. Absolutly fantastic,...

Pros - Good quality food; ample parking
Cons - Services is acceptable at best
I think their appetizers & noodles are the best. Their shao lung bao (steamed pork dumplings) are ok. It's quite difficult to get service even though the restaurant is not busy. It costs us $20 CDN per person (taxes & tips incl.) for dinner (lunch is...
