Britannia is now closed and for sale. Sad to see it go...was the best fish and chips around. Now where will I go next?
We have been to Britannia Restaurant and found the staff to be very polite and efficient. The restaurant is nice but nothing to really jump out at you to get you to come back. Prices are a little higher but the food is good.
That's what they have on their board and I must say, it's the best in town. It is old English Pub style so there is a selection of seafood dishes - all great as well as traditional meat pies. The regular fish and chips are really tasty; light crispy batter and home cut chips. They also have English beer on...

My hubby and I went here for a couple pints and some fish and chips. Delicious and cozy! We loved it. The prices were good, the service was so friendly and the fish and chips were yummy!
the people here are so nice and friendly and the fish and chips are real traditional english style.
Wicked...First time at this restaurant, had the homemade steak and kidney pie with chips and mushy pies...Fantastic!! Should of had some bread and butter to make chip butties, glad I didn't the portions are huge, dirt cheap too. Great selection of British beers. Definately going back to check out the seafood which looks great. Highly recommended English fare food!!

The service was excellent on each occasion, with Sandy, the owner, personally dropping by the table to ensure things were up to snuff.
The menu concentrates on seafood and British fare, but my one steak was also very edible. The halibut and chips are...
