I didn't discover Lanherne until the last evening of our stay in Newquay, which was a shame as I don't think I would have gone anywhere else to eat while I was there if I had. The Staff are first rate, food is Excellent, and with three Cask Ales to choose from I was in my Oils,in fact the next time I'm in... More

On arrival the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Full restaurant - would definitely recommend booking - especially Sunday. Carvery was lovely, had choice of 3 meat and help yourself to veg, gravy etc. Will definitely be recommending to others :)

A very friendly and warm welcome from the Staff,...We had booked a table for 9 a few days before as we thought it would be busy..No one in, but two men drunk at the bar arguing and loud swearing. We had children with us and to be honest nearly left then, but we were hungry so sat down and ordered. Coke came... More

Been here twice now, has a bar area, then an area where you can eat in the pub part, then a restaurant area. All does same food which is really good pub food. Good quality and good portion sizes and reasonable prices. Quiz night is good as well with a great 'quizzer' (don't know what they are called) and good... More

Living in Newquay, I have visited the Lanherne quite a few times with both family and friends. It is a good, traditional pub on the outskirts of the town centre. A friendly atmosphere with the drinkers mainly being locals. The food portions are generous with a decent variety on the menu. The carvery is also very good. Definately, worth a... More

A group 3 days agorang to book a festive meal which they agreed to take but said they needed the menu choices in asap, when I took them in they refused the booking and said they knew nothing about it, called me a liar saying they hadn't spoke to anyone about it,Ihave now been made to look a complete idiot... I have visited the Lanherne Inn many times, the staff are friendly, service is good and the food is good old pub grub. If your expecting cordon blue you will be dissapointed that's not to say you won't enjoy what's on the menu. They do a carvery a couple of times a week which I think is excellent as I... More

Visited again while on holiday after a break of several years and found that the food is still lovely with huge portion sizes. Staff were really friendly. We ate in the bar rather than the restaurant as it was early and the pub was quite but still had good atmosphere. Short walk from the town centre but also easily accessible... More

The Lanherne has the best carvery in Newquay. The pub is spotlessly clean and service is very good. There is a big free car park at the rear. A local's favourite.
