My office Waycotts is just around the corner from Serendipity, and when we have had a hard week,or something to celebrate, what better than a selection of the fantastic ice creams on offer, such a wonderful selection we are working through all the flavours You must try them when in Torquay

If I want to treat myself for lunch during the working week, I will always go to Serendipity. Lovely food, good portion sizes, good service and great location! Price wise - It is fine for what you are getting and when compared to other cafes of the same quality.

I found this walking through Torquay and thought I'd try it. On Yelp it had good reviews and such. They make their own pastries, and i believe, their own gelato. I had a roast beef sandwich and tried some strawberry gelato afterwards. It was very tasty food. The place was crowded and quite hopping. You may or may not be... More

This simple cafe in a central location offers a good range of food and drinks for the more discerning palate. Freshly prepared food and tasty pastries set this above the normal fast food joints in Torquay. Seating downstairs can be chilly as heating is poor and could put off possible return customers. A small but keen group of staff keep... More

Lunch with two children during half term. Excellent homemade soup. Children wanted sandwiches and were well catered for. Cakes and ice cream were excellent.

I was instantly drawn to this cafe because of the name... it reminded me of one of my favourite films of the same name. Lovely little cafe/patisserie. The Lady who i believe ran it was really welcoming. Very good prices and delicious cakes and tea.

Excellent cakes and tartlets. Have been using for a few years now but recently I picked up my paarcel of cakes by the ribbon, as per usual, only this time the bow unravelled and the box fell to the floor. The cakes and tartlets were macerated and although it was 'my fault' no apology was offered. I felt a little... More

I visited this patisserie during my visit to Torquay, and was amazed with the level of service, the selection of products, and the speed in which my food was served. I had Chocolate Brownie Cake, that was amazing! Mango Dairy-free gelato, again very impressed! Very refreshing! Will visit next time in Torquay without a doubt!!!!

A lovely little patisserie which also serves good quality light lunches. We each sampled a tasty, well filled ham omelette together with a portion of lovely crispy chips which we thoroughly enjoyed. Service was prompt, pleasant and helpful. This place is renowned for its cakes and pastries which looked so delicious we have promised ourselves a return visit. There is... More
