Lovely place to go for a uncomplicated lunch, or tea/coffee with a nice cake! A mother and daughter partnership that works!
Love the atmosphere and food at this little Gem of a cafe. Excellent value for money, proper home cooked winter meals...cottage pie on Tuesday's yum yum. Gorgeous Home made Cakes. Amelia and Ella have created a great little bolt hole...always make me laugh, great feel good cafe.
We keep on coming back to Ella's as just can't get enough of their cakes. Emilia always serves the customers with a smile and enthusiasm. If you're on your way to the train station or perhaps visiting Brighton, grab a slice or two and you can also take away with you.
Ella's is fantastic. Emelia and Ella have done such a fabulous job of making this the friendliest cafe on Queens Road (and there are quite a few). I've been going here ever since they opened and everyone in the office goes everyday to Ella's for coffee, cake, toasties and great conversation. Would highly recommend.
This is such a lovely little place, perfect for small groups or on your own. The homemade cakes are amazing (especially the warm donuts!) and there are lots of savoury options as well. The staff are always so friendly and warm and my lunchtimes wouldn't be the same without Ella's!

Apart from the great people and wonderful food, the other thing that makes Ella's special is the unexpected courtyard, out the back. This is a... More
This is my favourite cafe in Brighton. Always a great selection of tasty cakes and hot food. The soup is delicious :-) Service with a smile from the nicest, most friendly cafe owners in the world, and very reasonably priced. Highly recommended!
I've been using Ella's for a year now, and the ladies never disappoint! Apart from the amazing cakes and pastries that they serve, their tomato soup is the best I've ever tasted, and that's saying something. Even the coffee (and heaven knows, there's a million places to get one on Queens Road) is top notch. Well worth hunting down if... More
This little cafe was a delight to the senses, it's set up into a few little tables, so if there are a few people sitting at the tables already you'll probably have to split up onto different tables if you have a party larger than about 4. There are a selection of cakes and beverages to choose from, and the... More
