The toasted cheese scones we enjoyed in this cheerful, cosy café were some of the best we have ever tasted. Service and tea were excellent too. Real leaves served in unusual pots. Marvellous.

Stopped today for a coffee and slice of apple pie. The coffee was delicious and fresh as was the pie, but the best thing about our experience was the warm welcome we received. I will definitely visit again next time I find myself in Ambleside. Highly recommended.

Cafe Treff not only offer excellent tea and amazing coffee, their hot toasted sandwiches are fantastic, the best toasted sandwich I have ever tasted. They also, have a cake display to die for, my favourite is the lemon cheesecake. The staff are very friendly, especially, the owner who made us very welcome, we will definitely be back.

The service is excellent, the range of drinks is amazing and the Goats Cheese and Cranberry Muffin is to die for. Very hospitable owner who was keen to tell us that the mango and coconut smoothie was a new addition to their menu. My son loved it and fought to keep us away it! Delicious carrot cake has brought us back to cafe Treff on several occasions.

Lovely café to stop in for a cup of tea and a cake after a walk round Ambleside. A wide variety of tasty cakes, very nice coffee and proper tea without a tea bag as well as friendly welcoming staff. Well worth a visit
