We stopped for a bite to eat on our way to Lake Windermere and we were so glad we did. We were both hungry so we ordered the full breakfast and it was great. It was really well cooked and there was plenty of it. My wife spotted that the 2 sistersn were Polish, her Dad is Polish, so she... More

During our last few days in the Lake District we ate twice at the 2 Sisters. Both times the restaurant was comfortably full.(always a good sign). The meals we all had were varied and without fail yummy! The surroundings are clean fresh and a little different to the run of the mill small restaurant. The staff are friendly and helpful,... More

Lovely surroundings, clean and tidy. Good range of foods and drinks. Excellent service from friendly staff. Best carrot cake ever tasted- light, tasty, perfect topping not too sweet- highly recommended! Will be back, only the first of our visits.

We saw the 2 Sisters Cafe on Tripadvisor, so decided to go there for breakfast on our way to the Lakes. The breakfast was very good, the sister who served us very friendly, and the cafe very comfortable with a lovely ambiance. So much so we decided to have lunch here on the return journey and, although we missed the... More

The lovely 2 Sisters cafe at Plumgarth is run by two sisters Monika & Magda. Its a little eating place 'hidden' away on a very busy route. The interior is modern with the popular trendy eclectic mixture of soft sofas and rustic wooden tables and chairs. I love big the 'exploded' clock on the main wall (have a look if... More

Have visited this delightful Tea/Cafe on three different occasions now and every time it has been fantastic. The food quality is great and everything is fresh and tasty. The cakes are all home baked and the choice is simply too good. Always spoilt for choice with something different every time. The staff are so helpful and nothing is too much... More
