Good value theatre special good service and drinks grumpy waitress couldn't be bothered. Nice decor and bar, actually liked the food
Even though from the outside it doesn't have a very appealing look, when you walk in it has a very warm oriental feel to it. The food was amazing and reasonably priced but the service wasn't 100% as the waitress seemed very unsociable and moody. Other than that tiny fault, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys Japanese... More
Me and my freidn went there last night and we had a tastecard we had to ask two different waiters until we could get a proper answer as to whether we both had to order the same dishes to get the 2 for 1 deal. Also they were unhelpful and we had to wait about 15 mins between our courses.... More
If this is normal Japanese food (looks like a cat had has ben sick on both the starter and main course...), and normal Japanese service (sullen, uninformed...) I will pass on it in future.
We were staying at the St Gile's Hotel on a B&B basis and this is where our breakfast was served. On both mornings we had a delicious breakfast with plenty of choice and were served by polite, efficient and friendly staff.
On entering it was difficult to find any staff to serve but I soon found a bell which managed to attract the waitress. The were 6 other people in so I thought I might get my food quickly but no.... I managed to get the waitress to take my food and drinks order and then she disappeared. Five minutes later... More

We were seated in one... More
I'm not a fan of Japanese food so may not be best placed to review. It was quite empty but nice decor. Given the lack of customers, the service was slow at times but we didn't wait long for the food once ordered. We had a selection of starters which were solid but not spectacular. Cost was reasonable enough but... More
Starters were good, but the main courses and desserts were disappointing. The service was particularly bad even though it wasn't that busy on the Saturday night with many empty tables. This also didn't help the ambience. The cocktails seemed watered down so also disappointing. We don't tend to write reviews much but felt obliged to as we were so disappointed... More
We expected more out of this Japanese Restaurant. The food was clearly over seasoned and the chilli prawn so salty, they were almost inedible. The sushi was okay but generally the food let down the ambiance of the restaurant. However the staff tried very hard to please and were always courteous towards us. First restaurant ever that we have not... More
