After having walked past this restaurant on a daily basis the grand decor had always attracted me and I was very keen to try it! Verdict...extremely disappointing! The service was poor and it took us at least 15 minutes for our order to be taken, we had to ask to see the wine list and for the inclusive champagne I... More

It was a pleasant evening in a beautiful atmosphere. The wine selection was great. The service started out great and ended ok. We were one of the last to leave and sat as if we were forgotten at the table. The fish was great and I loved the idea of picking your own sauce.

Stopped off for lunch and had one of the best steaks I have ever had. The service was good and the waiter recommended a really nice wine. The only down side was we had to ask for the green beans which didn't come with the main course so we were half way through the meal before they turned up. Also... More

My husband and I have been to Pearl several times (in the Jun Tanaka days) and we've always had a very good experience. We chose to eat here last night (20th April) and I must say that things have gone downhill. We visited with friends (on our recommendation) and it was embarrassing for us that the service/menu was nothing like... More

I love degustations. And the option to have accompanying beer? It was too good to be true. The sommelier was very knowledgable about the beers. The food was great and the restaurant had a wonderful quiet ambience. Overall an awesome experience.

As others have said the decor is lovely but the service was very poor. My partner had wanted to go to Pearl for ages. It cost us £100 return cab fares and to be honest I've had better service in a pub restaurant. We asked for 2 glasses of champagne when we sat down to eat, they didn't come. We... More

Upon visiting Pearl for my third time, I decided to give it a final third try over a year since my last- which previously had been dissapointing too. This visit I just was in the bar, I had to wait 15minutes to even be acknowledged and it was not busy as I was the only one at the bar. The... More
