Booked a table for a celebratory birthday meal with my husband. We were both expecting great things having read such great reviews but unfortunately we both left disappointed. The restaurant was 3/4 full at 7pm yet we waited half an hour for our order to be taken.given that the restaurant only has about 15 tables the fact that 3 waiting... More

Nicest Itallian I have ever eaten. All eight of our party agreed, we had a starter and main course, couldn't manage a dessert. The atmosphere is and service is top notch, even though they were full. I would recommend anyone who likes Itallian food to go, it's a must!!

Lucky enough to dine here post racing, booked a week or so in advance for 5. It's a deli and a restaurant and has a very authentic atmosphere and aroma, once seated upstairs you could be in Florence or Venice (apart from the rain falling softly through the amber streetlights) Staff are attentive with a capital A, the menu though... Can't fault Little Italy - all our dishes were incredibly tasty all washed down with a couple of bottles of Rose. I had the lamb from the specials menu which was amazing. Nice friendly service from the waitresses too. Thoroughly recommended!

Visited after seeing the high ratings on Tripadvisor and wasn't disappointed. The staff were charming, the food was sublime (my Dad said the squid ink pasta with seafood was the best fish dish he had ever tasted!) and the surroundings were delightful. We weren't kept waiting long for our food, despite it being quite busy- a lovely dining experience overall.

My wife and I decided to have our anniversary meal here and must say it was an inspired choice( thanks to TA). The food was very very good and we have eaten many times in Italy. I can only say if this food had been served in Rome we would have been more than happy to eat it.

First time visitors - booked for us as a gift. Excellent service (attentive without being fussy) despite being very busy. Food was first-class, with a special mention for the Italian bread and butter pudding!

On our last visit to York this restaurant was closed for a family holiday so was delighted to be able to visit it this time around. We booked ahead for a Saturday evening which I would recommend because it is very popular. The food was delicious with a good variety of dishes. We chose our mains from the specials menu... More

Stumbled across this as we left the City Walls. Small, intimate resaurant but with a great atmosphere. Had to wait until the following evening to get a table but it was well worth the wait. Everyone enjoyed their food, service excellent and reasonably priced (for York). Will definitely return whenever we are in the area.
