The dropforge This is a gem that was discovered like a royal ruby in Alladins cave. Just sitting there and not shouting about anything once discovered you simply cant let go of it. We were out celebrating and wanted to to engage with a ‘pub crawl’ in the jewellery quarter so we started at the dropforge. We used to live... More

The food was great. I had the Goat's Cheese and Red Onion Tart to start ( yummy), followed by the Lamb Burger which was really good. The building and design of the place is excellent, set on 2 levels with a courtyard area and glass atrium that brought loads of light into the upstairs where we sat. Unfortunately we must... More

Beer fantastic, atmosphere fantastic,Waiting staff superb. Sadly, this is where it goes downhill. Our starter (haloumi/pepper skewers) was easily the worst presentation of a dish,i'd ever seen. Three pieces of cheese,in total size, half a matchbox. Two pieces of pepper, soggy and tasteless.£4 ! our main meals faired better . My partner had the Duck(from the specials board) and i had the 'Hung beef'... More

We eat here all the time and are always remembered and welcomed back by the staff who are really friendly. We enjoy the steak night on a Monday with 2 steaks and a bottle of house wine for £30, always cooked to perfection with fantastic hand cut chips. The tapas style sharing plates are great for an affordable light bite... More

We came for my boyfriends birthday a few weeks ago and had a table in the snug for 6, we felt welcome from the start and had all 3 courses which everyone was very impressed with, especially the haddock and the steak! Great service throughout and the staff all seemed very genuine. Really good atmosphere in the bar, a lovely... More

Have been here several times now and not been disappointed. The service is friendly and fast, prices a little on the high side, but the atmosphere is great. I can't see why it isn't more packed with people though, it deserves to do well. Come on everyone give it a try!

The food was absolutely delicious, and the waiter was attentive & helpful. Just one suggetion would be to add an extra veggie main, there was only one choice. I can't see why the drop forge wasn't busier..come on people.

Popped in for a spot of Lunch all it all ticked al the boxes. I had a burger which was nice, service is from the bar order food and they bring it over. Just seems one of those places that you find in every city.

Went here for a group birthday meal, food was good, service ok, a little pricey but worth a visit. Staff were friendly.

Having recently moved in to the area we have used and enjoyed this bar several times in the last few weeks. Every time it's been quite quiet. Perhaps, as an earlier reviewer says it doesn't have much passing trade and relies on the daytime business market. Anyway, the bar is a really nice conversion from an old industrial building, high...
