This pub is hidden away from the hustle and bustle of the town . Take the five minute walk from town to lead you to this little gem . The food is great especially the 'Alma portions' . Try the fish finger sandwich it's a must. You'll get a warm welcome from the friendly staff. The style is eclectic but has... More

Hi Debbie E, Could not have written this better myself! Thank you very much and I am so happy you enjoyed your visit. The Fish-finger sandwich is my other half's fave too, although he swaps the tartar for ketchup and mayo, men hu?! Our garden really is a must for all, south facing with plenty of space (sales pitch alert)... More

Came here after a day at legoland, had some fun finding it - it's in a residential area & was close to giving up but it was worth the effort. Staff couldn't have been more accommodating, sorting us out with a table outside because they were fully booked inside. Great food & atmosphere, our 3 kids really enjoyed their food.... More

Hi Paul M, So sorry for the late reply, I convinced myself I had done it! Thank you so much for taking the time and coming to visit us, I think you sat outside if I remember and had some play time with my doggie, Admiral. Glad the children enjoyed the food, hope you and your wife did too! I... More

I never normally write reviews, however I must in this instance. From the outside you could be fooled into thinking that The Alma is just a local pub containing locals proping up the bar. I must admit I was a bit apprehensive to go in when I pulled up outside, but never judge a book by its cover. I was... More

Hi Davecopthorne, Thank you so much for your review, I really appreciate you taking the time to leave such lovely comments. I was the lady in the kitchen and I care so much that people love it as much as we do, hence the no charge, as to let our customers down with a delay like that is just not... More

What a great find The Alma is. Wanted to find somewhere to eat other than the usual chain, whilst visiting a tourist spot. The owners gave a warm welcome, good wholesome food, great atmosphere and a lovely pint. Will certainly be heading there during the next visit to Windsor. Highly recommended during a break in Windsor.

Hidden in a residential area away from the hustle and bustle of Windsor town centre, The Alma's great atmosphere and food keep us coming back. The new owners are lovely, and have made the pub much more of a community than previously; I'm not sure whether it's down to the introduction of quiz or live music nights, or whether it's... More

Hi Sophieshouse, Thank you for giving us such a lovely review. Since taking over we have worked hard to maintain the great work the previous owners have done in making the pub so fab (it was our favourite too)! You never know there may even be a few little additions to the garden for the summer, so watch this space....... More

I love this place, it's tucked away so can be a pain to find but it's so worth it. Always warm, friendly place to drink. Also great wine list and amazing food. Huge food portions so maybe don't eat for a day before going. Local dog is cute as well

We were looking for something away from the tourist hoards and we were not disappointed. The Alma is a lovely locally run pub a short walk from Windsor centre. We found ourselves there just in time for the weekly quiz and the tables were brimming with locals and interesting conversation. A feel of a genuine 'proper' pub, with good ale,... More

Characterised as a local neighborhood pub, the welcoming atmosphere, fine beer, friendly staff and good food are reasons to make this a regular spot for Windsor locals. As tourists, we were quite pleased with our late Sunday outing at the Alma. Families are welcome and young children are taken care of, even with menu options. The food is good: burgers... More

We absolutely love the alma. The owners and staff give such a warm welcome and the atmosphere is great. We often eat there as they do a mean roast dinner and cooked breakfast. They have just started doing live music which is an added bonus.

Waited well over an hour for a cheese and chutney sandwich in a pub that was half full. In fact, I'm still waiting. Ok selection of beers but nothing special. This cheese sandwich had better be amazeballs.
