Turned up for lunch just to see signs that they were no longer in Craft in the bay. Have they moved as we really enjoyed eating here before
A great selection of food on offer, and a great location and building - we are frequent visitors here and that will not be changing anytime soon!
I've enjoyed going here for many years. Popping in when I'm at Craft in the Bay. The salads are so good and have made me experiment with ideas in my own kitchen. The staff have always been very polite and helpful. I think it's a great lunchtime venue.
The food was nice & the staff . They had a wonderful Welsh ice cream from Conti's in west Wales. We sat upstairs & the waiting stuff were up & down all day. They had Welsh ciders as well from Gwynt y Ddraig which is rather special. Why can't we find place like this in train stations across Wales, people... More
Thank you for your kind response. We are so pleased that you enjoyed our locally sourced Ice Cream and Cider. We are very keen to use local produce and it is good to hear them being praised. We hope to welcome you again soon. More
The sandwiches were nice, but a bit of a long wait as visited at lunchtime. Café only takes cash, but this is clearly signposted outside the café.
Many thanks for your response. We are sorry if you feel you had to wait a long time for your sandwich and hope this would not put you off attending in the future - We are pleased that you did enjoy your sandwich. We are unsure why you might have thought that we only accept cash payments as we also... More
I was delighted to hear that Kemi was opening another cafe near my home in Cardiff, because I had always liked visiting her place in the Bay. Her quiches are amazing, crumbly pastry and lovely fillings like salmon and cream cheese, roast veg. Coffee is good too and both my teenage girls love her cakes, good generous slices!
Kemi is an incredibly accomplished & creative cook: knowledgeable, clever, keen, kind, & knows her craft! Kemi & her café staff have champion culinary know-how, top-notch knife-skills, & clearly the knack of creating banquets of peak quality. . . Kemi’s home-cooked cuisine is the acme of perfection and includes the most remarkable & quirky, crisp & crunchy Salad Feasts containing... More
Kemi now has three restaurants - my 'local' is in Pontcanna & I also visit Craft in the Bay when I can too. The salads are amazing, the gluten free chocolate and banana cake is one of my very few guilty pleasures and I love the atmosphere and customer service. I've got a fussy tummy, and Kemis' salads are a... More
I've been here a couple of times and, although ok, there are far better places to eat in and around the Bay. There's a choice of sandwiches and salads and there is some seating upstairs and outside. Service is also very slow.
Absolutely superb salads The food is so interesting I have never tasted better salads anywhere Then there are the daily papers ...tasty puddings ,great coffee etc My wife and I enjoyed a meal in an expensive recommended restaurant in Pontcanna the night before which was significantly inferior to the meal at Kemi/s
