So the Avoca franchise has arrived in Belfast... the food is always good, the shop full of knick-knacks that you really don't need but often end up buying, service was OK - although you have to queue to pay for your food at the end, which is a bit odd given that up until that point the tables are waited... This place has a buzz I haven't found anywhere else. Quirky surroundings, top class staff in the shop and restaurant, and excellent food which never ever disappoints. I have visited several times, sometimes just for one of their delicious scones [which I also buy to take home], and a number of times for lunch. It feels like home and the... More

I visited the Avoca food hall on 27 April with my wife. All round great experience, the food was excellent. I ordered a main meal with a selection of 3 salads. Although we had to queue for 15mins it was well worth he wait. Excellent.

I am not reviewing the cafe, well in my opinion it was over priced and I've only been once. I am reviewing the shop which is a brilliant shop for lots of different knick naks and well worth a dander round. Not cheap but different things you might not get anywhere else.

We went to Avoca, Belfast, for breakfast last week. We had our six month old grandson with us in his pram and headed towards the lift, as usual. I pushed the pram into the first small open lift and was briskly told in no uncertain manner to get back out as the lifts are for disabled persons only. I explained... More

Always pop in here when in town shopping for a pick-me-up coffee and a scone. Just love the different variety scones. Scrummy.

We luckily stumbled on the Avoca shop then to have the added bonus of it being a cafe was perfect for our first day in Belfast. It had a great atmosphere with even better food! It is pricey but the food is delicious and substantial, I would say a must visit for anyone local or traveller.
