Oh how I wish we had researched this abomination of a so-called restraurant before making a reservation from Australia, but were totally misled by the association with Michael Caine (how in God's name he could allow his name to be used I will never know). Unless you wish a serious case of food poisoning I seriosuly recommend that you look... More

Avoid this place at all costs.. it's beyond terrible. Went there for a meal on New Years Eve. Firstly the decor is awful, like a bad 70's basement disco.. tables set up for breakfast on one side of a curtain and a grotty bar on another. Were told there was a special Hogmany menu with roast sirloin... which could only... More

I am sure Michael Caines would be mortified by the quality of food and attitude of staff. We went for an early supper, 6.00pm, and when I mentioned my starter was cold and soggy (a mozzarella and tomato tart) I was told the chef had served them all lunchtime and I was the only person to complain. It may have... More

Michael Caine obviously has no input in the food, the service and standard of this restaurant otherwise he would close it. I felt sick after the meal because all courses were drenched it butter so that's all you could taste. The service was terrible like it was an effort to talk to you, decor was tired, menus were tatty, worst... More

Would I reccomend this restaurant - in one word No. We were going to a late night theatre show which started at 10pm. Our reservation was for 8pm and we arrived on time. The starters arrived smartly but we then had to wait 45 mins for the main course to appear at 9.25pm. Several requests to speed up service went... More

Booked a pre theatre menu reduced from 14.95 to 9.95 Very limited Menu, which I was ok with. The starter was good - smoked salmon with goats cheese - although rather small. But no worries it was a starter. Then onto mains, my Wife took the Chicken and I opted for the warm Mackerel salad, The chicken was miniscule and... More

Ate at MC Grill whilst on business. Service was so slow that we didn't bother ordering a dessert. Drinks service was terrible. This place was not even busy so I dread to think what happens during peak periods. Food was average. Black pudding starter was disgusting - so greasy. Michael Caines should be ashamed to put his name to this... More
