Only stopped for drinks but staff were friendly and it has a lovely comfortable feel. Loved the reclining armchairs in the window.
popped in for a bowl of soup with my old man on way home from spey Valley…good soup and friendly staff
Having read previous Tripadvisor reviews and quite liked the slightly quirky look of the place we went in for a beer and a bite of lunch. The kitchen was closed (weekday 1pm!) but it was quite atmospheric with comfortable couches by the picture window and a great view to the mountains. BUT the tables and floor were filthy!

Friendly staff and the food we ordered was fantastic, massive portions size and was worth the wait for as we came in at a busy time. Chilli is lovely and I heard a lady sitting across from us saying it was the best baked potatoe she has ever had!!

HUGE portions which makes it even better value for money. There is... More

We have been going to the Winking Owl when on holiday in Aviemore for about 7 or 8 years, and we've always enjoyed a quiet drink. This is the first time we ate here, and we were not disappointed. I think the pub is under relatively new management (it's 2.5 years since we were last in Aviemore), and they seem... More
