Firstly, Spent ages browsing in the lovely wee shop - picked up a few things I didn't need. Then a quick bite for lunch turned into a couple of hours. We both had the home made soup with a cheese scone - not something I had ever thought of having but it was delicious. Then coffee and just enough room... More

We had a great roast beef lunch, with all the trimmings, even though we arrived at nearly 2pm. It was a really generous plateful of tender and tasty beef. All for £10. Couldn't fault it. The staff were friendly and welcoming - taking care to explain the "specials" menu. We didn't have to wait long for the food to arrive.... More

Good points: excellent coffee, reasonable selection of home made cakes. Bad Points: Staff. Shockingly disinterested and unwelcoming. Wouldn't be tempted to return which is such a shame as we used to love this place.

It was not surprise to find the cafe packed when we arrived, but this was no problem as the staff's great service extended to taking our name and letting us go for a wander around the next-door farm shop (lovely, btw). They even came looking to fetch us 10mins later once a table was free. Once inside, the decor and... More

The food is amazing and worth the wait as it is cooked to order. We had homemade burgers. Cakes are good too, but didn't have space for one on this visit. Hope to visit again soon.

It is so good for the team to hear that you had a great time here. Thank you for letting us know - the beef for the burgers is from our long established fold of Highland cattle, who are looked after beautifully so they can spend very happy lives, They are then prepared here with the same care and attention.... A nice place to have a bowl of soup or sandwich if, like us you were waiting in between activity sessions on the Rothiemurchus estate. We had a buggy with us so decided to sit outside as it looked packed out inside. The waitress seemed a little stressed or anxious. We both had soup mine was the cullen skink and... More

Thank you for letting us know about your experience at the Druie - so glad you particularly enjoyed the Cullen Skink, we are fortunate to be able to get such excellent Smoked Haddock locally. The staff are trying to be more relaxed, but they are very anxious that everyone has a great experience here. Hope you enjoyed the outdoor activities. More

Stopped by about 3.30 pm on a Saturday afternoon for afternoon tea. Ordered to sit at a table and pull my chair in. Not made welcome at all. Cafe quite busy. Coffee was lovely but disappointed at selection of cakes on offer and only one scone left. Very chaotic behind serving counter we were given the wrong bill and was... More

The Druie at Rothiemurchus is a favourite place for our family to eat when we are in the area. Last weekend my wife and I had lunch there and enjoyed an excellent bowl of Sweet Potato and Chiil soup, a Venison wrap and their great ANZAC buiscuits. The soup was full of flavour and the venison wrap was quite exceptional... More

Thank you for letting us know how much you enjoy the Druie. The team care passionately about making really delicious, freshly home made food from our own and local fresh produce. The new kitchen team recently reviewed the menu and we hope Rothiemurchus forest venison will always be 'on' as it is proving very popular. Our stalker, farming and butcher... More

Today my Daughter and I visited for some lunch, after a wait for a table. we felt the tables were too close together and it was like you were being listened to by the people surrounding you. This said we couldn't fault the food, it was great, best burger around and chocolate cake to die for. Only food negative was... More

Thank you for this review, we have made the tables further apart than they used to be, however the Druie is in the 150 year old ex village school which built for a small Highland community. The upside is the high ceilings mean it is it is never claustrophobic. The Centre becomes very busy in the school holidays, especially when... More

We regularly visit Aviemore to see family and always pop into The Druie for lunch. The soup is always homemade and served with lovely bread and I always go for the Bruschetta which is very tasty. The staff are always friendly and polite despite being rushed off their feet half the time. There is often a small log fire burning... More

We are terribly sorry you were so cold but we feel awful that you endured it in silence. The beautiful sunny weather and blue skies have encouraged lots of people, especially those with dogs, to sit outside; thank you for your feedback, in future we will make sure the big heaters in the ceiling are turned up when it so...
