Great food, lovely venue, casual, unique and comfortable. Staff are great. Only negative is that it might be a little expensive but definitely worth a visit when in Cork.
While traveling for business, we stopped by Annie's for lunch. The food and atmosphere were great, and the sandwiches were all served quickly, which was great, so we could make a quick return to work. I would recommend Annie's for lunch and would return here.
Annies is one of my favourite restaurants in Cork and I try to go as often as possible. Excellent quality, reasonable pricing, a great selection of wine and beers and very friendly staff make Annies the first place I always bring friends and relatives visiting Cork. There is plenty of choice on the blackboard menu. My favourite starters are Haloumi,... More
I was at Annie's during a Friday lunch. I wanted to write a review on the outstanding service and food at Annie's.I have visited Annie's on a number of occasions where I can rely on a quality experience. I've mostly visited during week days at lunch and greeted by the same waitress and waiter, whom I believe to be the... More
Arrived before 6 on a Wednesday evening, advised no food service until 6.30 (no problem) but also that they were pretty heavily booked and would we like to wait with a drink and the waitress would see what she could do. We had to ask her again, just after 6.30 as she made no effort to let us know whether... More
Went here with 5 others having booked and were seated immediately seated. Would have welcomed a real fire in the grate rather than the forlorn glimmer of a candle (which may have been artificial), so I kept my jacket on. Ladies who shed heavy coats were left to their own devices to find a coat rack. The orders were taken... More
I had lunch recently in Annies in Sundayswell, the service was really good and attentive - the food was delicious, lovely succulent steak sandwich on Arbutus bread with wholegrain mustard, simple fresh leafs and fresh potato wedges & Blackberry Creme Brulee to finish with a shot of Espresso, sure what more could you ask for!!! Defo going back for more,... More
We were visiting relatives in Cork and they introduced us to Annie's Gastropub in the older part of Cork. The food was very good and the venue is charming. The first night I had the goat cheese salad as a starter and the duck as main course. Both dishes were superb. Others in our party had the squid starter and... More
The gastropub is welcoming. New menu on the chalkboard daily. An appetizer (lite bite) would be enough for a main for lunch. The chips are handcut and the best I've eaten in Cork. We were too full to have dessert after sharing an appetizer along with a mains. Try a Crean Pint also!
