Ate hear for lunch on 24/5/12. Why you could not find a better setting. The weather was amazing, vast river views, and excellent food. Any friend of mine that travels to Cork I shall be recommending this place to. Just amazing, wish we could have had the opportunity to visit at night and see the castle light up.

I have eaten here a few times and it has always been excellent food and excellent service in a lovely location. Had another great experience there last night and this prompted me to put up this review. We were a group of 10 there to celebrate an occassion. The staff were lovely and were happy for me to drop a... More

I was told this was a "good place to eat," but had no idea that it would be so DELICIOUS! The service was great and the food was just perfect. We grabbed a late lunch here and enjoyed everything about the Castle Cafe. I believe it is a sister-restaurant or spin-off of the delicious Market Lane restaurant in downtown Cork... More

I have eaten here a few times and sometimes it has been amazing while other times it has been just ok. Unfortunately on my last visit, for lunch, it was just ok. I went in the late afternoon for a delayed lunch. The food was nice but the service was very slow. The waitress apologised twice as the food was... More

Attended an evening function in Blackrock Castle Cafe this March, and cannot say enough about our experience. Although I live in Cork, it was my first visit. The food was fantastic, and very reasonable. We had a set menu, €35 pps, three courses plus tea and coffee, and the offerings covered every palette. Starters ranged from soup to pate, mains... More

We visited this restaurant for the first time today with relatives from cork who were raving about the place, now i know why they were raving. Not only is this restaurant in a fantastic setting, but we have never had an experience in a restaurant like this, we arrived without booking, six of us with two young kids. The place... More

If you haven't been to the Blackrock Castle Cafe recently, I suggest you give it a try. I went went on a Saturday in the middle of January - it was packed and about half the customers were in trainers! We had the bargain €10 lunch (soup, half a sandwich, a chocolate pot and coffee) just what we needed and... More

Whilst with family and friends over the holidays we went for a celebratory meal at Blackrock Castle. The setting and ambience was wonderful, the food delectable and the company first class! As a large group, we were well looked after and the menu offered a good choice for all. An unforgettable evening, this is one place I look forward to... More

This restaurant is located in a modern annexe of the famous Blackrock Castle Observatory. Staff are efficient and pleasant. Food is very good. They serve breakfast, lunch and evening meals and havea wine licence. Parking is not immediately on site, but just around the corner where there is plenty of safe parking for many cars. This is the harbour walk... More

We called into the restaurant late on Monday 2nd Jan. The Hostess & Staff made us feel very welcome and happily accommodated all our requests. We began our meal in the Cafe but as they were closing that area, we were gladly moved to the Restaurant area. The food was delicious and as it was my friends 1st visit to... More
