Very friendly staff, nicely decorated, and good quality/quantity food. There was live Celtic music on the night we ate there, accompanied for a part of it by tap dancing, which added to the charm of the place. We enjoyed the dinner very much.

A short drive from Killarney, and a fine place for dinner, drinks, and music. We enjoyed the ambiance, and I the barbecue ribs, recently after a day's drive along the Ring of Kerry. This local pub topped off what was an awesome day. Good food, good service, a cozy ambiance -- you really could not ask for more.
spent an hour in kate kearneys this week, probably the tenth time being there and as always, a very welcoming cosy place with a huge blazing fire in the hearth and food that makes your mouth water.was served at the bar by a friendly young lad who chatted about the weather etc. we always visit when we come to killarney...

I have nothing but praise for Kate's I have spent most my summers here. The place has a magical ambience , the food is divine no one makes vegetable soup like Kate Kearney's cottage, the staff are always really accommodating and soo friendly. It's my favourite place in Ireland and can't wait to come back this year.
Went for a beautiful walk up the gap of Dunloe and decided to stop for a quick lunch at Kate kearneys cottage afterwards for a bite to eat! The place itself has turned into a bit of a tourist trap with €2 for a small bottle of water! The pub itself was busy! if you can get a seat outside...

On our vacation our son recommended we go here as he has been here on his vacation here. We were pleased with our meals, especially my BBQ ribs. They were so meaty and tender fall of the bone! Delicious, some of the best I ever ate!
We arrived at Kate Kearneys cottage after an interesting and very wet walk up and back to the stunning Gap of Dunloe.
Kate Kearneys cottage is a Pub/Restaurant/Souvenir shop aimed mainly at the tourism market and as such you'd expect it to be 'cheesy' and full of 'plastic paddy'. I am glad to report that this could not be further...

The cottage has a lovely little souvenir shop & not overly expensive like most usually are. There is also a full bar & restaurant. We didnt actually eat while...

Beautiful little restaurant nestled among the hills, right before you drive through the Gap of Dunloe, a must stop for your Kerry visit! Great place for a cuppa or a beautiful dinner. Ask for their specials. Great friendly staff, would recommend highly.
