Could not fault the food or the service which were very good.....but it lacked something for me to give it a top rating. I would go back at some point.
Dropped in here without booking to find out the Tannin Level does Sunday Roast 12-8pm! That's one to bear in mind then. The menu is broad enough with 5-6 choices for each course including fish, meat, vegetarian. The value is great, £14 for 2 courses, and there's no skimping here on the portion sizes. Good quality food, borderline over seasoned... More
I must have walked past this place for years so I thought it's about time I ventured in & tried the food. Looks quite small from the outside but once you're in it's pretty cool, you wouldn't know that you were below street level. My wife & I booked in for an early bird dinner & weren't disappointed. Good welcome,... More
I have dined here on numerous occasions and I can honestly say I haven't got a bad word to say. Attentive staff, when my food arrived it looked fantastic, smelt great and tasted better than I expected, The early bird/lunch menu is fantastic value for money. The wine is always served at the right temperature too (I can't stand cold... More
There are much better places to eat than this restaurant in Harrogate. They really need to up their game. The soup was just awful. Then we were served a small piece of roast beef with plain vegetables and Yorkshire pudding. It was all desperately average. The service was so slow and amateurish. We didn't bother with dessert.
We waited about twenty minutes to be seated at our pre booked table. Food was very good with two imaginative veggie choices for starter and main course ....almost unheard of outside an Indian restaurant. Good side dishes too. The service wasn't amazing we didn't have the same waitress throughout and had to chase drinks and even water but we enjoyed... More
Years ago I used to visit the Tannin Level with trepidation as the ambience was good, the wine excellent but the menu never appealed. I was lucky if I could find anything on the menu that I wanted to eat. Last Monday evening I visited again for the first time in recent years and was delighted to find a real... More
We chose to go to this restaurant as we were originally going to their sister restaurant Deanos and thought this would be just as good! We were shown to a table near the door and out of the way of other parties in the other part of the restaurant and given the wine list and menu - there was a... More
We have heard mixed reviews about this restaurant so wasn't sure what to expect, but what a lovely surprise. Our waitress was attentive and friendly, food came quickly and was spot on. Great atmosphere too, really can't fault the experience, we will be back!!
I went with a group of friends for someone's birthday this was all the things a good restaurant should be - great food, good selection on the menu, flexible with our orders, prompt, efficient service and to top it all a great value menu. I'll be back.
