We did not expect to find a restaurant of that quality on site of a major tourist attraction. Deterred by the long lines at the self-service restaurant in front, we wandered around the back to L'Orangerie and to our surprise got a table right a way.

Fantastic Food for a Great Price, and this is France on a tourist site. It was 29€ for their tasting menu (5 courses), which would normally be around 50€ to 60€ at most places. The quality of the food was excellent and the Loire Valley wine list was a perfect pairing. I would definitely eat here again, if in the...

Scarecly noticed the food because the company was so great, but I do remember I enjoyed it. Service was impecable and their was a decent wine list
We were shocked to see how long the queues were to the self-service restaurantsin Chenonceaux. A friend had recommended this restaurant but we had not booked a table. Turned out they could take us anyway and we had an absolutely lovely lunch. It was a bit pricey but well worth it.
I had these goat cheese phyllo dough encrusted thingies. They completely opened my life to goat cheese and how amazing it is when done right. It's perfectly situated near chenonceax. If you're at the castle, go! Make reservations as you arrive at the castle so you can have a table when you're done with your tour.
Full satisfaction, castle is wonderful, may be the best stop among Chateaux de la Loire cause a dinner at orangerie complete this great expérience. Quick, not expensive compare to Paris racket prices. The Veranda is amazing but you can also have your meal inside. Food and Wine choice is great .
We came to chenonceau for a rainy afternoon tour. We had lunch at L'Orangerie, figuring we'd wait out the rain with a leisurely lunch. I have to say it was fantastic, we had the 5 course lunch and it was worth every penny. The food was fabulous, the service impeccable, the ambiance elegant, the view of the trees and the...

How right she was!
This place offered a great menu, providing...

Delicious food and wonderful presentations. Took pictures of the food, it was so well presented. Also delicious. If you plan to go to Chenceau, give yourself time for lunch here.....
We visited this restaurant after being crowded around the chateau and found it to be a haven of tranquility and impeccable service. The meal was of a very high quality and of excellent value and the setting, overlooking the pristine garden was great.
