Description: This charming and historic brasserie from the 1930's grew out of a foodstall owned by one Robert Jenny, a native of Strasbourg. Decorated with lovely marquetry and panelling, light bright windows, scarlet banquettes and antique details, Chez Jenny still offers the best of Alsatian cuisine to a loyal and ravenous clientele served by waitresses in regional costume. Try dishes like starter of Alsatian cervelas sausage in ravigote with warm potatoes, main course of roasted pork caramelised with honey on superb sauerkraut, and pudding of poached pears with pear sorbet and eau de vie.

We ate one evening at Chez Jenny in Paris and I ordered the fish (they have a set menu for 17 euro, dinner + dessert. The fish was very well cooked BUT tasted like mud/mold. I had to send it out and instead I got the other alternative which was the chicken. Not a better choice I´m afraid. It tasted... More

I came here with my partner's daughter party because this was one restaurant in the Place du Republique that had been reviewed in this site. We shared the foie gras stater, Jess had the farm house salad, I had the duck, Jess had the 3 ice cream desert and I had the plum sorbet. The foie gras which came with... More

Near the Place de la Republique this traditional Alsatian restaurant is very worth a visit. The Alsatian cuisine is unique and quite good. French style with some German thrown in. I had the Charcutte, with sausages, port cuts and plenty of sauerkraut. More than enough food for two people. The restaurant was very full for Sunday lunch and most people... More

It reminds us that France and Germany are neighbors. Although a little kitsch the food was good and the kids enjoyed themselves.

The restaurant was recommended by our hotel, we even got coupon for 2 free aperitifs. Place looks fancy. The waiting staff attitude is very snobbish and unfriendly. Wine glasses are wrong shape, red wive was served very cold. This restaurant pretends to be high class, they even correct you. Food was OK.

We went to Chez Jenny on the last night of our trip to Paris. We didn't have a reservation but were seated quickly which was good. It is also possible to see into the kitchen from the restaurant which is always a good sign! I had the onion soup to start which was delicious, and my partner had the escargot... More

No reservation necessary, you can have nice French at dinner, you can pick appetizer, main course, desert, and 2 drinks from set menu for 30 plus euros, food are really good, not bad at all. Problem is, waitress don't speak English, I mean zero English (except manager).

It was late, our first night in Paris, so we opted for a well-known name. The food was pricey and mediocre. the first coourse - scallops - at 15 euros, was three scallops so tiny I suspected they cut one in three. The brochette of fish, impressively presented, was dry, the tuna bits were grey and unappetising. Desert (merangue) was... More

This restaurant was introduced to me by a nice French guy sitting next to me on the plane to Paris. We went there for lunch and we were warned there are many roads named "Temple". Look for the raised road side, the restaurants are at a raised level compared to the pedestrian walkway. Food is good only if you choose... More

Since Jenny was buyed by "les frères Blanc", famous Restaurant's owners in France, food quality become better, like after th second world war, as I came ther with my parents to eat a fabulous "Choucroute". Today, the Choucroute is smaller but very good indeed and the people who serve very kind. You can also order some more light dishes... Decor... More
