When staying at the Maison de Lucie, I was recommended the Breard which is a short walk away. It was very busy with many tables pre booked, the food was outstanding and the atmosphere excellent. I loved it. Not cheap but you get what you pay for!

After eating in several Michelin star restaurants in Paris was very pleased to come across this restaurant. We had the 55 Euro menu which included lobster, sea bass, cheese course and a souffle, everything was well prepared and tasty. The wine list was also reasonably priced. Service could have been better, but it was alright. For the money, this was...

There is an earlier review from somebody in Oxford who describes this place very well. It looks good and the food is presented well but it is tasteless and service is bad. We had an Amuse Bouche fairly swiftly then after about 45 minutes we had another (!) and our starters didn't arrive until over an hour after arriving. We...

This being a wednesday, most of the better restaurants in Honfleur were closed. So we opted to go back to Le Breard, where we enjoyed a superb dinner last august (at that time the title of my 5-star review was "fresh and innovative"). This time, perhaps because of high expectations, we were disappointed. The food was fine, but not as...

We had a great meal here on our wedding anniversary. Really good and well-trained front of house staff with a sense of humour (something not always found in foody restaurants!) who made us feel very welcome on a wet and windy Honfleur night.
We had the 55 Euro menu. Beautifully-cooked and prepared food: an amuse bouche that included a foie...

We stumbled across this restaurant in Honfleur. It was amazing. We chose the 55 euro meal. We started with sweet potato soup and brioches. This was just to get us started. We then had a small serve of sea bass and liche ( so delicious). We had the first course of lobster in broth with spinach. We followed this with...

Well only one out of five, how to say something positive ? OK the service was charming. The chef is aiming at a high level of ( searching for the correct word ) I purpose cooking is one word but food manipulation might be more accurate. The food is complicated and there is the usual liking for foam. When will...

The restaurant is well appointed and the staff are friendly, however the food didn't live up to expectations. It was a case of presentation over flavour. Not good value.
Honfleur – Dinner at Le Bréard, on Rue du Puits. An extraordinary value, this modern “restaurant gastronomique” is a very good restaurant run by a very fine Chef. Several prix fixe menus, different prices for fewer or more courses (29 Euros (not available Friday or Saturday night), one for 45 Euros and one for 55 Euros). We enjoyed a fine...

Firstly apologies to this lovely restaurant for neglecting to post this for two months. However the quality of the restaurant demanded I return - even at this late stage - to write a review. We have been fortunate in our time to eat in lovely restaurants all over the world but - after much debate - my husband and I...
